Car Review: Toyota iQ2 CVT
Toyota iQ2 CVT – tiny city car that is even better when a bit cramped.
Talking about city driving, this is the car you want to drive in around the city. The ultimate model to squeeze into city roads that is by far look funkier in contrast with G-Whizz and much so practical than Smart.
iQ2 CVT has a 2,985mm long for cabin that makes it a bit expensive. Two occupants will feel comfortable sitting in front. As to the back seats, they are great for seldom use. As for the boot space, it can serve about 32 L at minimal.
This is where iQ2 CVT has the ultimate edge over Smart. The transmission is made to fit perfectly for urban motoring, a swift change plus running smoothly on the road when you must. When it comes to city driving it comes with ease due to the powerful steering wheel plus parking sensors (optional).
As to the engine, it is about 998cc only with a speed of about 0-62mph within 15.5 seconds. Good news, iQ2 CVT can run at a speed of 93mph. You will feel comfortable when driving even on long journeys.
Owning iQ2 CVT costs include group 2 insurance, 110g/km emissions and a 60.1mpg for combine fuel returns. The manual version gives is at the edge for offering 65.7mpg plus emissions of 99g/km and a whooping £1,000 difference in price. However, the question is whether in the long run the slight difference will create a big gap between these two versions.
The best part with iQ2 CVT is it is has a total of 9 airbags that has squeeze through it’s small body. This feature has led to iQ2 to earn the 5-star Euro NCAP as a rating when it comes to the crash test.
As to pricing the manual costs within the range of £9,495-£10,495. Then for the multidrive version, price is about £10,495-$11,495.
