Car Review: Land Rover Discovery 4
Land Rover Discovery 4 – a face lift of the versatile Discovery with a new powerful diesel engine plus a refresh look to make it still on the top class.
The Entire Look
It’s a simple improved new look of Discovery Tonka. The nose of Discovery got a new grille plus headlamps. Then on the rear end you got the revised tail-lights.
It still has that huge Brit image that you can see at home right on the farmer’s field. Potential buyers can choose between 3 trim levels namely: HSE, GS and XS.
There is not much of a difference between the Discovery Tonka and Discovery 4 but more of the exterior and other parts of the land rover too.
The Interior
There is much space inside the cabin. It has a total of 7-seats that can comfortably make room for 7 adults. On the 3rd row, it will simply fold right into the boot floor if there is no need of extra seating capacity.
Carrying capacity of the rover is about 1,192. Here is the best part; you got rear-view camera, mood lighting, electric seats and a sat-nav that is touch screen.
The Engine
There are two engines available for this model, the 2.7 L V6 which is a twin turbo diesel and then the new one, which is the 3.0 L. Both do have oil-burners which is major on refinement. The 3.0 engine does have a 600 nanometer of torque; the engine does feel that it is much eager to go on the move. In 9.0 seconds sprint will be within 0-60mph.
The Experience
When driving Discovery, it is truly a remarkable and supple ride. The Land Rover can challenge even the roughest road surfaces with no sweat thanks to the combination of 2.5 ton kerbweight and air-suspension.
